A Soul saving industry

It’s not long ago that the idea of worshipping an unseen God with hands raised seemed totally absurd, not to mention buying a gospel cd. “Who in their right mind would go and by a gospel cd?”
(Thank God for being reborn and having the mind of Christ)

It came quite by accident that I listened to a cd of which the music I really liked. After actually listening to the words, it became quite clear that this was no ordinary rock album, this was in fact gospel (?) Ashamed to admit my first thoughts was in the line of “Can Christians make music this good?”

Suddenly a whole new world opened for me (that in the music store I thought I knew pretty well.) Usually not thinking much about spending money on whatever music was in the top 20, I made a different choice for a change.

Can God speak through music, through bands marketing the product of their talents? Well something was definitely happening here

It made me feel longing for more; I wanted to know more about what these people are singing about and rejoicing in. I wanted to know more about this God they are worshipping.

Jesus came knocking at my heart through the lyrics of music. Music which was good and the message even better.

*“I can search for all eternity Lord, there is none like You.” And I can sing along because I don’t always have the words of my own, and I can lift my hands in worship as the joy and and hope of being reborn fills my whole being.

When I read this "(Thank God for being reborn and having the mind of Christ)" --I wanted to say "AMEN" out loud. :) Being a music lover, I think it's wonderful that you "heard" the gospel message through a CD!!! This makes my soul sing, --"Jesus came knocking at my heart through the lyrics of music." Thanks for writing this!!
