I’ve never sailed the seas near Galilee, yet still I heard Your call.
For never has a prophet spoke the truth of things like You;
Who knew before I spoke a word of all things I did do.
Nor have I ever held a hand so strong my fears just slipped away;
In truth I’ve met no other God but You up to this day.
Despite all this I’m sad to say to Jesus now in truth;
I wish I’d never walked away when I was just a youth.
I thought in my rebellious soul I’d make it on my own;
If I knew then what I know now this hell I'd never have known.
Despite my pain and agony theirs peace within my sight;
If I can reach just one young heart and set its path aright.
I hope these words might cause someone to really stop and think;
Before they pick up that first drug or sip on that first drink.
Or maybe they might reach my Lord that He may touch their hearts;
And cause them to be peacemakers before the violence starts.
No matter what the outcome is I’ll gladly pay the cost;
That no young soul should blindly choose to suffer all I’ve lost.
The devil uses many tricks and works with many tools;
To squash the hopes of trusting teens and make them look like fools.
It’s time for me to end the lie and stop the angel act;
‘Cause Jesus is the only truth and that my friend is fact.
Now to the young ones growing up in suburb and in city;
You need to know where I am now you won’t get any pity.
You must decide whom you will serve right here this very day;
But anyone whose tasted hell knows Jesus is the way.
The good news is you can repent and choose the righteous path;
So please, I beg, turn to the Lord, lest you too face His wrath.
