lightening slashes the sky.
Winds begin howling, the trees lowly bowing.
the storm soon will arrive.
Thus does life scream, and trials do seem,
as we struggle through their storms.
Our faith often lagging, our spirits start sagging,
we try to avoid all harms.
How sad we miss, that God would assist,
if only we’d ask that He’d come in.
Then He’d take charge, of this trial so large,
and strengthen our faith in Him.
Lord help me today, to choose your way,
of dealing with life’s trials and more.
Please always guide me, stand right beside me,
‘till I reach that heavenly shore.

One of the most important things I have learned in my years serving the Lord is this: In the storms of life He will provide a place of peace for each of us. It’s a place where we can grow in faith, yet still have peace that passes all our understanding.
