Topic: Reading (01/25/07)
"The Lord of Hosts says this:These people say: The time has not come for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt."As i read these few words something inside of me wanted to know more.The night before i had been talking to a friend over the phone and i was telling him i was bored.He told me to read the word of God.I thought he was weired.I said to myself "this guy doesn`t have a life,is that all he ever does then,reading the bible?.Before i picked up my bible this morning i was bored,so i wanted to watch a dvd.This was the norm,each time i am bored i watch a dvd or a video,but this morning i decided otherwise,i chose to read the bibble.

As i carried on reading this chapter i realised for a very long time i had neglected God,i had kept my mind focused on nothing else but my job and my social life.I realised that i needed to commit myself more to the things of God,i needed to give more time to reading the bible.I leant that by reading the bible i would even get the deliverance that i was looking for,i would grow spiritually,i would get an answer to every question that i could ever have in this world and i would know God even deeper.Now,not a day goes by without me reading the word of God,and each time i read the bible on my own i get the most powerful revelations ever!.To God be the glory and i thank him for my friend who encouraged me.

I enjoyed this. I remember when I first became a Christian and the reading of the Word that I did just for the sheer joy of it. I haven't read that way for awhile - it is more of a study or even a devotion. This was a beckoning for me to read just to read again. Thanks!

Very true. There were some grammar and punctuation errors here but your point came clearly across and your encouragement to read God's Word is one that we all need. Keep writing!
