The sirens are howling in the middle of
The night.
I awaken, say a prayer that everything
Will be all right.
Why the sound of those sirens of the
Police or other,
Make us feel extra compassion for
Someone’s sister or brother!
I guess it is because we don’t know
The reason or fate!
When we hear those sirens in the
Night hours so late!
I sense another siren that sounds any
Hour or day!
The voice of our Holy Spirit, His alert
Lest we go astray!
Do we tremble, does our hearts feel
Any stirring at all!
With the nudging voice of the Holy
Spirits call.
Our Lord is watching closely, and
Attentive to see,
If we are following as close as He
Desires us to be.
If not be assured we will hear His
Alerted sound!
Clear as the sirens of policemen
When trouble is around.
Keep alert! Then abide near His
Side!
When the Holy Spirit speaks His
Peace will reside.
