As Patricia sat down in the garden, she wrote in her book all the pleasant things that she could see around her. She saw the beautiful butterflies that kept flying close to where she was seated.
Patricia was seated in the garden next to her home. It was a private park with a beautiful view of the lake and Patricia loved coming to sit by the lake. The grass in the garden was always trim and very soft to sit on. Patricia loved nature and just sitting at in this little garden made her love it all even more.
She did not just see the beautiful things around her but she also heard the sounds coming from all around her. She could hear the birds chirping in the tress above her and she loved to hear the frogs call out to each other form the lake.
She was all alone and she took that moment to write in her little book. Patricia loved to write and it did not matter what she wrote about, she seized any opportunity she got to put anything down. She always referred to her notes later when she was not writing.
That was when she saw something that she had written a while back. It was in this very same garden and it was about her holiday almost three months. The garden reminded her of everything that she had written about even before she went ahead to read the story. She remembered it only too well.
She had been on leave from work and she and a couple of her friends had decided to camp out in this garden. She got permission from the owner and since Patricia was always helping him clean it from time to time, he let her use it from time to time. Besides, he had always told Patricia that it was no use him having a beautiful garden if there was no one to enjoy it.
Patricia and her friends had all planned to have their annual leave at the same time so that they could all hang out together. What a time they had. They often sat around a camp fire in the evenings and shared stories. During the day, they took turns swimming in the lake and keeping watch on those that were in the lake. They were not about to have any of them eaten by any of those monsters that they had watched in the movies.
When Patricia got to that part, she started to laugh. She remembered one time when her friend Christine was in the lake alone and the others had decided to play a prank on her. They had shouted telling her that there was a crocodile swimming towards her. They had never seen her swim that fast. When she got to the shore and was so terrified and out of breath, the other girls were too embarrassed to tell her that it had all been a joke. Christine was so mad when she found out that they had been lying to her the whole time.
Nevertheless, she was too scared to go back into the water for the rest of the holiday unless there was another of the girls with her.
That was one holiday to remember and definitely a memory that would stay with Patricia for a long time. she was so glad that she had it all in her little note book.
