Your grace is like Your mercy,
both are continual.
You set me on high plains,
far above my enemies.
You’ve taught me spiritual warfare,
granting me success
in this battle for my mind.

Your helmet protects
their precious contents.
Your breastplate of Your Advocate,
protects my emotions.
By Your shoes, prepared by Your gospel,
I know my daily skirmishes
do not come from You,
for I stand on peace.
Your belt ties my armor together,
as Truth should.

Your sword is beautiful,
garnished by Your word
Its edge never fails.
By Your shield,
I can lock my faith
with my brothers.

Prayer, most of all,
is my most precious weapon.
Darkness shudders,
as I hail praises to Your name.
By worship, I can tear down walls.
Mostly, I laud You for prayer,
It draws me to my Commander.
I take no joy that demons
fall at my voice,
but that my name is written
in Your Book.
