(written 9-29-03)

I saw Your peace in my eyes,
when I surrendered to You.
I felt Your love
as I sought You out.
I have rebelled
only to have You find me again.

You showed me
I was always on Your mind
even before I knew You.
You choose to show me
great and mighty things,
things I’ve never known.
There are always on Your heart,
plans for me to prosper,
to bring me to an expected end.

What more could I expect?
What more could I imagine
from the One who made me?

So I asked…

Then You showed me…

I saw Your peace in my daughter’s eyes,
when she surrendered to You.
The joy I felt when You found me,
is nothing to the joy of You finding her.
You give me beyond
all I could think or imagine.

Author's Note: I write this in celebration of the event of my daughter receiving the Lord just this past Sunday. Praise the Lord!
