Look and Listen

I’ve come to you with a picture to show
As the lines add up the picture will grow
Please read slowly - the lines one by one
For I’d like you to have lots of fun

Let’s start with a mountain on paper so white
Then on the mountain will add us some light
Now not a small mountain do I want you to see
Let’s have it big where lots of creatures are free

Let’s put on this mountain lots of trees for the birds
The trees will give shade for animals in herds
Now look to your left at those bushes right there
Look really hard for some bunnies my dear

Oh! There go some squirrels running up in that tree
Looks like mommy and daddy have a large family
Let’s stop for a moment and take a breath here
For just over there I thought I saw us a deer

Walk on this path I put here and you’ll see
Off to your right a bear’s den with babies
Just take a quick look and move on rather fast
Upsetting their mother on our list should be last

Now onto the top you’ll see a wonderful sight
Let’s get to the top where there is plenty of light
On top of our mountain a cross standing alone
Now feel from that cross warmth down to the bone

That old rugged cross with only blood left behind
Bring a picture of Jesus to the front of your mind
His love was so strong gave His blood for us all
Now listen real close, you might just hear Him call
