My Babies

As I watch my children sleep
I can't help but wonder.
They are so peaceful.
What are they dreaming
as they lay and slumber?

I pray that they are happy dreams
filled with joy and pleasure.
Please watch over my babies, Lord,
and bless them beyond measure.

Please don't stop there I pray, dear Lord,
they both need You in their life.
Please lead them into righteousness
and keep them free from strife.

Thank you, oh Lord, for including them
in your heavenly plan,
and for choosing me to raise
this future woman and man.

Please bless them with all happiness
and all of the things they need
to live as Christians on this Earth.
Lord, help them to succeed.
