Before and After

Before the healing came the pain.
Before the rainbow came the rain.
Before the joy came many tears.
Before the peace came all our fears.

Before faith came many doubts.
Before a smile we would see pouts.
Before eternity on Earth we must live.
Before receiving we must all give.

Before becoming what we should,
We must turn evil into good.
Before we pray we must be humble
in this world of rough and tumble.

That's why Jesus came, you see.
He bled and died on Calvary.
Our hope is in Him, He's coming soon.
Could be this morning or afternoon.

No time for heartache, sickness, or pain.
Jesus will make us whole again.
No time for sadness, only laughter.
He'll take your "befores" and make them "afters!"
