Lost and Found

In a world full of darkness
lost in more than thought.
At the lowest point I've ever been
I was hiding feelings that I fought.

Sitting alone and wondering
with my mind full of doubt.
Where is all the happiness
that so many talk about?

Not knowing where to turn
this hole just needed to be filled
not even realizing
that I just needed to be still.

I was willing to try anything
to bring myself out of this.
But it was when I had quit trying
that I put my hand in His.

The most important part of life
we cannot find on our own.
Sometimes it takes the lowest points
to find our way home.

That's when you know He's reaching out
and you feel His love so strong.
Then you wonder why you struggled
as He has been there all along.
