The Grace Being God’s Personal Property

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:15-15 ESV
Probably my favorite of all the Psalms because it confirms in my heart God’s power, love, and sufficiency for every part of me. I am His design, made for His honor and purpose. I have been paralyzed in my right arm and hand due to strokes before birth. My parents had nothing to due with God’s design. All these things were explained to me when I was old enough to help me understand why I had to fashion doing things differently than other kids. Learning to button my shirt or tie my shoes were different from mom or dad , or my sister.
Growing up, especially after accepting Jesus and begin reading about God’s love and promises, I realized my life is ‘not about Me!’ but having an intimate personal relationship with the One who gave me life everlasting. Soon to be 87 years old measuring time this side of eternity. Why I waited all these years to share this can only come from God’s timing.
With a career as a U.S. Civil Servant basically with administrative, finance, and accounting background. Being blessed through my years of marriage, to become the father of five beautiful children and the proud grandfather of six wonderful grandchildren. Thirty plus years as a published writer of short essays and devotionals, with over 25 years serving a lay pastor at a Re-Hab center in a nearby community. Even writing this devotional on my keyboard is probably different than many. But God equipped me and is not finished with me yet.
Father, thank you for using me just the way I am, being your personal property.
