                   God’s Wisdom and Word Become Our  Worth

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Psalms 37:4-5 ESV

The more I see Jesus in every part of  my life, I am convinced what I seek after; His presence leads. In other words, I hear the voice of His Holy Spirit directing my thoughts or reasoning. I call it God at work in me. The desires of my heart are, “How does this honor my Lord?”  The voice of God at work in me is transforming my habits and aspirations to live and become the more in what God created me to become.

Since His thoughts and ways are so much higher that my ways of understanding, transformation happens. The power of His presence and actions slow me down to listen more I witness my own delight through God’s Spiritual Voice speaking to my heart. Along with God’s Spirit, I become more aware God’s strength and faithfulness. Recognizing I do more things because; ‘greater is He who is in me…’ His help in temptation, listening to ‘the Sword of the Spirit’ at work. Putting on His armor and helmet of salvation, as it were. (Ephesians 6:17-18)

The Psalmist decares, ‘With my whole heart I seek you;
 let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.’ Psalm 119:10-11 This goes hand in hand with delighting myself to witness His actions at work through me.

Before our Lord’s ascensions, Jesus told his Apostles they would receive power when the holy Spirit would come upon them to become his witnesses in Jerusalem, all Judea, and throughout the earth. Today we too, as we commit our work to the Lord, our plans will be established.

Father, my confidence comes when each morning I draw close to Your Throne of grace and receive your mercy. Amen
