There are moments when our prayers feel like whispers into an empty sky. We cry, plead, and wait—but all we hear is silence. In those quiet seasons, doubt may creep in. We wonder, “Has God forgotten me?”
But silence from God is never a sign of absence. Often, His quietness is where He deepens our faith, stretches our trust, and draws us into stillness where we truly listen.
Think of Jesus on the cross—crying, “My God, why have you forsaken me?” Even in that moment, the Father was near. Silence wasn’t rejection; it was part of redemption.
God’s silence is sometimes His invitation to trust more deeply. He is working behind the scenes, shaping us, aligning things for our good and His glory.
Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
Thought for Today:
When God is silent, He is still present—working in unseen ways.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You even when I don’t hear You. Teach me to rest in the truth that You are always near, even in silence. Amen.

Quiet is so hard. We live in such a noisy and distracted world. Everything is at our fingertips but when it comes to our relationship with God that isn't the case. People need to know that.
