Scripture: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you…”— Isaiah 43:2 (ESV)
Life brings storms—unexpected news, disappointment, delay, pain. Sometimes the waves come so fast, we feel like we’re drowning. But the Word of God doesn’t promise a storm-free life. It promises that God will be with us in the storm.
Noah had faith while it rained. Job had faith while he suffered. Paul had faith through shipwrecks and imprisonments. Their faith didn’t remove the storm—it carried them through it. Faith that holds isn’t loud; it’s steadfast. It doesn’t always speak, but it stays rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
If you’re in a storm, hold on to God. He is not shaken. Your circumstances may change, but His promises remain. The same God who calmed the sea is in the boat with you.
Let your storm be a reminder not of what you’re losing—but of who is holding you.
Thought for the Day:
Storms may shake my world, but not my faith in God's promises.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You in the middle of my storm. Let my faith stand strong even when everything else feels uncertain. Amen.
