                         God Sets Me In Motion

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16 ESV

More often than not, as we advance in our senior years, we tend to reflect upon our youth growing up. While our Lord does admonish us; ‘to forget what lies behind and strive toward the prize of the upward call of our Lord,’ we have to appreciate seasons and events our Lord sets aside for us as memorials, remembrances, never to forget about. The more I have God’s word (promises) in my heart, I find much peace and comfort, when God reminds me of experiences how I got here. Especially seeking after His purpose and power to see me through my daily circumstances.

God’s past blessings and victories are something I never want to forget. They are the encouragement often, for  strength and motivation to keep on keep’n on when things are uncertain.  When the power of His presence is witnessed by recalling past experiences. It’s as though as God were telling me “Remember When…?” God sets me in motion every morning when I wake and take time to recognize… ‘This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!’ praising and thanking Him for past experiences God brought me through.

Dedicating each new day is for His presence to lead and provide. For us to witness the Spirit at work putting things in motion. All this is to be defined as finding God’s sufficiency (2 Corinthians 12:9) in our daily experiences of trusting faith in our weakness. Letting go my sufficiency or reasoning, opens the path for something better, more  than something good.

Father, thank you for setting me in motion through the voice of your Spiritual presence. Your days written for me were filled; for me to understand how to serve you.
