                       Faith At Work Brings Evidence of God At Work

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. Romans 4:20-21 ESV

The context in these verses are of Abraham when God spoke to him to make Abraham the father of many nations. Even when God told Abram; No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. Genesis 17:5 This name change is very significant. Abram means ‘Exalted Father.’ But Abraham means ‘Father of Many.’ A direct result of God’s promise.

God’s faithfulness to us is our hope promised as evidence of the presence of His Holy Spirit to lead and equip us. His Spirit abiding in me is my provider. When my wife was graduated to be in our Lord’s presence, many came with good intention to bring comfort, thinking I was going to fall apart. If only they could recognize; I might now be by myself, but I am never alone!  ‘… for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world’. 1John 4:4b This too, is evidence, God is with us in all ways, never to leave or forsake us.

My trusting faith in Jesus gives no cause to ever be ashamed to proclaim His presence in me, as I daily reach out to those I love. I do this in prayer. Obviously, I can’t always be in the presence of all my five children and their family’s. But I can be praising our Lord for my children and their children. No unbelief will ever make me waver from praising my Lord, even as He did for Abraham, God does for us.

Father, thank you for giving me your evidence of always being at work in me, AMEN
