                              There Is No Escape

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? Psalm 139:7 ESV

There are moments when we just don’t know. Unable to comprehend through our own reasoning.  When I don’t feel the Spirit listening to my concern. Remember when as a child you might have felt abandoned?  Why didn’t mom, dad, or brother or sister, ‘seem to get it?’ No one to support me? But through the precious promises of God’s word, we now can find and enjoy the power of His presence and the ‘voice of His word,’ to strengthen any doubt or fear that God is not with us.

There are so many passages of scripture that give promise; ‘that God will never leave or forsake us.’ I’m sure we all have our favorite. Finding God’s presence in us to recognize we need not fear. My opening verse is one of mine. There simply is no place we can flee to, where God is not there beside us. Most certainly, ‘Greater is He who is in us…’ The bottom line is, there is no place we might be, or no temptation we might be faced with, God’s presence and Spirit will always be there to lead us through with His honor and strength, not ours! I remember always what Paul wrote in Romans 8:24 -25 ‘For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience’.

Father, because I am found to be one of your adopted, chosen from before the foundation of the earth, I have no place to escape. Your preeminence will aways be my own ‘Hedge of Protection.’ I have no righteousness of my own based on law, but that which is through Faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith. (Philippians 3:9) Amen
