Listen When The Spirit Is Speaking

 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesusfrom the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11 ESV

God’s Spirit is our ‘Hedge of Protection’ about us when the power of Darkness throws his arrows at us. This can happen any hour of the day or night. Something I am so thankful for is that God’s Holy Spirit intercedes for us, especially when we pray and call out in fear and concern. (Romans 8:26-27) Having God’s word in our heart is the armor of His Spirit he wants us to wear. Standing firm on the word of truth is witnessing our Savior in action. Let’s not be casual to have God’s promises in our heart.

New believer or veteran warrior of God’s army, our weapon given us from God.  Greater than any atomic warhead of our nation’s military might. How we need to be reminded; our Spiritual Battles are unlike what we witness watching nightly news. More than hostile nation against another nation, we don’t often see God’s spiritual  enemy, but only the effects what the power of darkness is doing or has done.  

Our Lord promised the Jews who believed; ‘So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,  and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’ John 8:31-32 ESV It truly is a most wonderful experience to know and feel God our Protector, at work leading us through those temptations.

Becoming a doer of God’s word in our heart is finding the power of God’s presence. His word in our heart is our responsibility. Christ already won the battle for us.. Our victory is proclaiming  God’s authority from His word in our heart.

Father, thank you for Your Sentry at work in me.
