“Be exalted, O LORD, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.” Psalm 21:13
The LORD needs no one to exalt Him (to raise in rank, power, or character ; to elevate by praise or in estimation) for He is supremely exalted by His own being. A pillar of that exaltation is His strength. - unending, immeasurable, unchallenged and self-originating.
So, where does that leave man who is His creation ?.....he can but sing and praise His power; not to exalt the LORD, (which is an impossibility for the whole cannot be added to) but to recognize His power in a worshipful way that affects him and lifts him up and exalts not Him, but his view of Him. The psalmist knew this as he sang and praised the power of the LORD.
