“The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah” Psalm 21:1,2

Joy and rejoicing come from the LORD. The king may have riches abundant, an excellent realm under his rule and all that he would ever need or want, but true joy and rejoicing can only be found as distributed by the LORD who gives His strength and His salvation.

Falling in line with the will of the LORD the king could know the fulfillment of the desire of his heart and wait with confidence upon the fulfillment of the request of his lips. The desire to see the will of the LORD fulfilled in his own life and in the lives of others and having that desire parallel with the LORD’s desire for such, has great potential of fruition.

Because joy and rejoicing are found in the strength and salvation flowing from my Lord, I will ever look to Him for such, for all other pursuits will leave me downcast and floundering.
