             Seek To Understand God’s Sufficiency

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 
2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV

It becomes a challenge for each follower of Jesus not to faint with fear. But recognize the sufficiency of God’s Spiritual power and presence living within us. Being intellectually honest with ourself and transparent with our Lord, is our growing and learning to truly know and trust His grace to be our sufficiency. God’s sufficiency builds endurance to become an overcomer to fear and doubt.

The best way of resting in God’s sufficiency is keeping God’s word in our heart. by so doing it increases our confidence to become a ‘doer of God’s word,’ in our daily walk by faith. (James 1:22-25) We tend to build an image of ourselves of who we want to be more than who we really are. I don’t always see the real me by looking at myself in a mirror.

Grace through faith builds our trust to recognize His sufficiency living out our experiences. When we purpose to want God to be who we trust more than our feelings and fears. Along with having God’s word in our heart, is gratitude to thank Him for leading us as we recognize more God’s sufficiency at work. When we listen to the voice of his Spirit and his word in our heart. It appears as a paradox to ‘boast in our weaknesses,’ but for His preeminence to lead, learning to die to self-will is essential if we truly want our Lord to be in charge.

Becoming a new creation in Jesus is best defined as witnessing the fruit we bear by being deeply rooted in our Savior as the vine we grow from.

Father, thank you for my weaknesses that your power prevail as my sufficiency, amen
