“Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Psalms 124:7,8
What snares are craftily laid by the fowlers of our souls; snares of depression, fear, dis-belief and self-pity. To attempt an escape in one’s own strength involves struggle and defeat. When the help of the LORD is given, through His Word and through His Spirit, (and is taken), then the soul is freed and the very snare is emptied.
When we fly freely, the wind of the Lord beneath our wings, our hearts beat in joy in the immensity of our liberty. Escaped bird, broken snare, wide-open blue skies and the very air of heaven to breathe.......Thank You, Lord.
