This Is My Grace

When my final breath is exhaled, I begin to breathe in celestial air, while I walk down those streets of gold, and I hear story after story of God's love and faithfulness from those Christians of old, even then, the other half will have not been told, until I gaze into those two eyes for myself, those precious eyes of grace, showing, glowing, from my Saviour's face. And finally it dawns on me, I am actually here at last, I am not dreaming of, nor imagining Heaven anymore, and this amazing thought, this reality, It shocks me to the core, and I begin to sing and praise along with others, the One who went to Calvary, and all my sins in His hands, He bore. Oh! What endless love! What grace divine! That He alone, would die to save this heart and life of mine. He chose death, to grant me life, would choose a manger in a dirty stable, the wooden cross, He chose the nails, God chose to bruise His Son, To show me such love that never fails. Now I am in this place, one prepared by nail-scarred hands, especially designed for me, and all the wondrous sights of Heaven, I now can see, But the most glorious sight in Heaven beyond what words can convey, It leaves me completely speechless, I honestly do not know what to say. Staring at me with a warm smile, this sight I now see is the face of Love, while His scarred hands wipe away every tear from my face, and only four words He whispers in my ear, ''This is my grace''. The former things have passed, the new is here at last, you are where you eternally belong, here at home, with no sickness or pain, nor tears are even welcome here, You will never cry another, never hurt again, nor miss a loved one passed, because your family are all here with you, and so am I, and you with them, and you are here with me at last.
