1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (KJV)
Philippians 4:2 (KJV) --- I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

Little is mentioned about this person, Syntyche. Still, when I see that name, I cannot help but wonder if there is a reason many of us can relate with the meaning behind it. The greek word behind this name means: An accident, which is when something comes without being seen ahead of time. Could it be Syntyche was mocked, least respected among the people around her? Could she have had a disability, been labeled an outcast, nothing more than a worthless accident? “Syntyche will never amount to anything”, “A lost cause that one is”, I can imagine different ones whispering, while passing by. I can also hear Euodias complain. “Syntyche is so ignorant”! “All she does is get in the way”. God is last to have these thoughts about us. Yet, sometimes many people feel this way, unplanned, worthless, an accident. As someone with several disabilities, one of them being Asperger’s Syndrome, a learning disability, I know what it feels like to question one’s worth, to think I do not measure up, and things will never get better. These were once my feelings. To this day, my disabilities are still here, they are apart of me. Only now, I see the hand of God in my life as I look back to the times when I had those feelings about myself, times when I did not think things would get better for me, but they finally did. Also, I became His child some years ago, God even gave me the gift to write for Him, and has always been with me. I am thankful He chooses to work through the lives of His children, even through our weak areas. We see throughout the bible God using man's weaknesses to make known His greatness. No one is less in His eyes, we are much more than we can imagine, forever loved by the God of Heaven and earth! Like Syntyche, not accidents, but treasures in the throne room of His amazing grace. Our weaknesses are well planned by the Almighty, They show His love and strength to those around us. When hard experiences come into our lives, and we are caught off guard by them, He saw before the world began. God saw it coming. And He is there to help us through them.

Prayer Focus: People with disabilies.    Thought For The Day: His strong hand works through our weakest moments.
Prayer: God, I am thankful for how you see me in love, that I never leave your sight or your thoughts, You have always been with me, and always will be, showing your strength and love through my weaknesses. I want to thank you for that.
