ADOPTION RESULTS IN EMPLOYMENT FOR JESUS

Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. Ephesians 1:5 NKJV 

Being adopted into the family of God’s Royalty defines itself so much more than just wearing the Name Christian. I chose the word ‘employment’ in my title to recognize the importance of being a representation of the ‘living Temple ‘ of our Lord. The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthians, ‘Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?’ 1 Corinthians 3:16 Our adoption brings the responsibility of our being employed to serve and share. Our Savior will measure out to us by faith, to equip us for the tasks He created us for.

Becoming a child by adoption through the redemptive power of Jesus, we are so blessed to know and understand the ‘old self’ will decrease as the power of God’s Holy Spirit now living in us will increase.  His Spirit in us will reveal for us  the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. (cf: 1 Corinthians 2:12)

Our adoption will result in His employing power to make known what will be, as we commit ourself to serve our Lord  in all we are about. We’ll recognize the joy of His Spirit living in us to lead and equip. One might be part of a team in manufacturing. Another might be part of a team is service, as was my career of 40 plus years in public service. The point being, when we dedicate the task for His honor, you’ll be overwhelmed by greater joy and reward, knowing Who really gets the glory.

Being Redeemed as adopted sons and daughters we can recognize Who we’re really employed by.

Father, thank you for my full time employment in all I can be, Amen
