Praying God’s Word Is Far Greater Than My Fear

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
 2 Corinthians 12:9 RSV

I often thank our Savior because I know with certainty, ‘Greater is He who is in me…’ Such that, His presence and resources, show me the way of escape from anxious matters before me.

The key to finding the preeminence of His sufficiency begins with prayer. I want to mention just a few biblical promises that share with us Why praying God’s word is part of God’s mandate for us. Many times I’ve shared with others, “getting to have an intimate lasting trust with another, we must determine to spend lots of time with this special friend. To have this true intimacy with the One who created us, we must want and know His infallible word.”

 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7

 Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

 And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.1 John 5:14-15

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Most certainly, with His light to lead us, the darkness of this world around us is taken away! God’s power living with our heart, truly becomes the beacon of hope and victory over all our uncertainties. AMEN
