     New Birth Sanctified Through God’s Word

^‘ You have been born anew, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.’
1 Peter 1:23 RSV

Most Certainly, new Spiritual Birth does not come through looking at ourselves in a mirror. But seeking and understanding to know our Lord’s infallible promises that are omnipotent, or all powerful. The product of seeing hope not always understood, comes to bear fruit in ways only God can do.

God’s word in our heart gives us encouragement, as  a storehouse of promise to draw from. Spiritual armor given us against Satan’s darts thrown at us. God’s word(s) in our heart are the weapons we use for Spiritual warfare. It cannot be penetrated or defused.

Meditation from Psalm 119 shares; How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to thy word. With my whole heart I seek thee; let me not wander from thy commandments! I have laid up thy word in my heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Verses 9-11)

Sanctification from laying up God’s word in our heart is a lifetime of growing and learning to carry God’s ‘heavy weapons’ against all the power of darkness thrown at us day or night.

I don’t know of any follower of Jesus who would stray far away from the love through his or her local fellowship of faith. In like manner, we dare not neglect laying up our Spiritual weapons in our heart against lies, and contentions thrown at us.

Father, wearing your name also requires your armor in our heart as your promise for the best weapon coming from our new birth.
