PRAYER FOR AMERICA

   Father, please rescue America, for we have lost our way.  We are weak and confused, and don't know our right hand from our left. What you have declared as good, we now call evil. What you have declared as evil, we now call good.
   Father, please forgive America; against You, only You, we have sinned. We have not glorified and acknowledged You as God, nor given thanks to You. Our hearts have become foolish and dark; our minds depraved.
   Father, continue your mercy on us! Not even for ourselves, but for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our nieces and nephews, and all our future generations. It is these we cry out for!
    How can we ask for your blessing when we have worked dilligently and systematically to remove every evidence of You from our public squares, our market places, our schools, our government, and our very lives?
   Father, please do not lift your grace from America, even though we have failed in our allegiance to You. Our light has diminished, and we are walking with a great limp, but we pray our vision is restored, and our walk made secure, before it is too late. Father, we are lost without You. We cling to your faithfulness and your great love and mercy.  Amen.
