                                       What Builds Us Up?

“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.  Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. ! Corinthians 10:23-24 ESV

We can understand the power of darkness wants a person to believe and follow the temptations to his desire. Whether listening to news or other personal interest things one takes interest in, do we recognize if it is profitable? Does it profit my objective, or compromise honoring God? That is to ask, does it take offence to what our Lord would have for us?

Situations we encounter can sometimes be a challenge when our fleshly reasoning gets in the way of something better than what or where we’re about. That ‘something better’ is to be mindful God’s Spirit is there to lead. The Holy Spirit directing our thoughts, and our actions, the result will be resting in the power of His sufficiency and grace. Which is God’s Spirit to lead, for his honor.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 
1 Corinthians 10:31

For years before I would enter the building where I worked, I would ask our Lord to go before me for the responsibilities and tasks of my leadership and administrative requirements. Before I write any words on an essay or devotional for example, I dedicate it to our Lord. What I write must be to His honor, otherwise it’s not worth my time and effort.

Father, thank you for going before me, to lead and instruct me in the power and presence of your Holy Spirit-AMEN
