               We ARE Mustard Seeds to a Dying World

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Mathew 17:20 RSV

Do you ever consider who we are as ‘tiny mustard seeds?’ Our faith is measured out and witnessed by many, to recognize all we are about each day. Our tasks, our temperament, or attitude how we react to situations by a non-believing world is front and center on stage.

We might be that ‘tiny speck’ of hope to a population of lost and despairing  individuals. I recognize that yesterday is past but today and the many tomorrows are still before me.

We might be the only ‘speck’ that a lost or hurting soul can identify as living evidence, of something that could grow into a tree like the mustard plant of faith.

The very promise that through Christ… people have moved mountains of fear and uncertainty. This tiny mustard seed of faith and hope. There are many ‘someone’s’ searching to find who they can become. Like the tiny mustard seed, one tiny acorn will grow strong as a wide oak tree of lasting evidence,  the sufficiency of God’s faithfulness.

Father…what starts out as ‘little faith,’  through the power of your presence will one day grow strong with deep roots of everlasting love that will never become a shallow rooted seedling. Your Holy Spirit will water our individual seed of faith to become a fragrance to everlasting life. Because nothing is impossible with you! AMEN
