         Living In The ‘Parenthesis’ Of Grace

The thought of living in Jesus, is to recognize this season of grace, I call a ‘parenthesis.’ Consider we are not living under the old Mosaic Law. When our Lord Jesus came upon us two thousand years or so ago, his atonement was to fulfill the requirement what the law could not do for us. The years before us today, we live by grace through faith as defined for us. (Ephesians 2:8-10), as His workmanship.

We are filled with the very power of His presence by means of His Comforter. The Holy Spirit presented to us, when we made our decision to receive and follow Jesus as our Redeemer and Guide.

And we can also recognize through the biblical teaching of His inerrorent word, God instructs each one of his followers, what I refer to as reformed theology. Brought about by the protestant movement from such faithful individuals as, Augustine of Hippo, Martin Luther, Johnathan Edwards, along with a host of others.

And today we have such abundance of knowledge to instruct and encourage us through each days challenge of worldly woes. This world we’re living in, apart from us, its discontents. Struggle to achieve what are temporal things some might believe they will one carry in a U-Haul behind the hearse.

Nor will we suffer the period recognized as the ‘Great Tribulation,’ for those of us who believe the ‘Church,’ will be raptured before this most difficult period of the ‘end days’ of time.

Today is the day, this ‘parenthesis,’ is for hope to things not yet seen. (Romans 8:24-25)  

Father, thank you for this parenthesis of time. To worship and praise your name with blessed assurance
