Ministering to Everyone
Have you ever made the statement, or heard someone else say, “I just want the Lord to use me as a minister to everyone I meet today?”
Great words, indeed, until you come to the end of the day and realize that there were no “ministry” opportunities placed before you. Then it can become a phrase of frustration. You may feel that the last 24 hours were wasted and wonder what impact your life had on the kingdom.
Maybe there are times when you sit alone and wonder why the anointing of the Lord isn’t oozing out of your life or words of healing are not flowing from your lips. Thoughts of God’s abandonment may flood your mind since there seems to be no special touch for the ministry that you felt called to.
What would happen, if in your morning prayers, instead of asking to be used of Him, you simply said, “Father, I am nothing without You and I cannot do anything on my own.” Would it make a difference?
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, at the end of a day, where no ministry seemed to take place, someone would have been ministered to. Who, you ask? The only one that really matters when it comes to ministry – GOD! Really, the Father!
By your very simple prayer at the beginning of the day you offered yourself as a tool for His purposes. In that moment of surrender you committed the ultimate act of ministry, giving yourself to Him.
Then, if it seems like the world is passing by and you are not impacting the kingdom, His heart has still been warmed by your willingness to be a worship offering to Him.
Wow, set free from the bondage of self established goals. Loosed from the chains of your own grandiose dreams. Free to move in the realm of His glory and away from the expectations of man.
Many times it will seem like the kingdom never benefited from your life, but oh the joy that we can bring to the Father when we allow Him to be the one we minister to.
Be Blessed !!

And sometimes the one who needed the most ministering to, that day, was your own self. I have often found those days, when our Lord said to me, "It is you who needs Me now, come find your rest in Me and fill your heart with Love and understanding. Drink from My cup and I will make you ready to minister to others"
