Start the Movement

As i listened to a radio broadcast recently, i heard about the ways that God is moving in other countries. Great revivals are taking place in Africa and other nations. Praise the Lord for this, it seems like the gospel is literally exploding in many countries around the globe.

As i continued to hear about these wonderful accounts, i thought, “i want to go where the Spirit of God is moving.”

As soon as the thought went through my head, the Lord spoke clearly to me, and this is what He said.

“Maybe I want you here to help start the movement.”

What?! Me?! Mr. Nothing-at-All?! Sir I-Can’t-Do-It-Lord?!

Do you ever feel like it would be great to travel to other parts of the world where God is freely invading? Just to sit in the middle of His presence and watch Him work? Me too! But we are here for a reason. And maybe that is to help start the movement of God in this nation. i know that other countries are in darkness, but who else besides the U.S had been blessed with so much and yet has turned their back on God with such vengeance? If any nation needed a new movement of the Holy Spirit, it is us! What if we were at the ground zero for a new flow of His glory? What if in 10 years America was hot with the fire of the Holy Ghost? And we could look back and remember how it started. WOW – awesome!!

Maybe that is why we are here, to pray for an ignition of His fire in this land.

Now i don’t feel so bad when i hear about other countries. i can truly rejoice in their victories, knowing that i am where He wants me to be. i am one, among many, who can strike the match and pray for a fresh moving of His glory in our land.

Father, help me to remember; that as long as i listen to you, i am right where You want me to be. And give me the desire to pray for a fresh touch of Your glory in our land. Amen.
