In the Shadow of My Father    

I live in the shadow of my Father,

My nest, I choose to not feather;

Pleased to be veiled by His glory;

Than try to write my own story

I live in the shadow of my Father,

In mine, His life goes further;

I have no reasons to struggle

Yet I conquer all battles

I live in the shadow of my Father,

I ride always on His shoulders,

His name always makes a way,

Where others fail, I prevail  

I live in the shadow of my Father,

It’s all about Him, now and ever;   

In His will, I find mine pleasure,

My whole life is without pressure

I live in the shadow of my Father

I’m pleased to search no further

Never again hunt for what’s waning

Without Him life has no meaning

I live in the shadow of my Father

To Him be the glory forever;

At last, all the trophies I win

Are laid right at His feet

I live in the shadow of my Father

I’m so glad God is my Father

Faith in Jesus made Him my Father

That’s why I call Him Abba Father!
