YOUR PASSPORT, YOUR POSSESSIONS, YOUR DESTINATION

Are you aware that the Passport you hold in your possession does not really belong to you? Yes, it’s true you spent your own money and resources to acquire the Passport, but that doesn’t in any way make it your own, it is the property of the Government of your country. In fact, the Government of your country reserves the exclusive right to withdraw your Passport from you at any time, because all Passports say on them that they are the property of the issuing government.

Just like the Passport in your possession doesn’t in any way belong to you, so also all the things you have and will ever possess on earth does not belong to you. It’s true that you worked and labored to acquire those things, but in real sense, those things aren’t your own. The Almighty God is the Legitimate Owner and Possessor of all things on earth, including the ones in your possession. Just like the Government of your country reserves the exclusive right to withdraw your Passport and you can’t refuse, God possesses absolute right and authority over your life and all your possessions, He can withdraw your breath, health, wealth and existence at will.     

The Bible in 1Timothy 6:7 says “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out”. This is the truth that those who are wise will always remember and never forget. It is foolish for anyone to think that he or she owns anything that can be held forever.  

With the Passports issued by the government of your country, you have the ability to travel across and be admitted by other countries of the world, especially the countries that issue you a visa for a short or long stay. However, there is a Passport that can take you beyond this world into the Heavenly Country, the city where God dwells and reigns forever. God issues us rights of access to heaven by salvation though Jesus Christ His Son.

Life is so brief, and it can end at any time! Before you begin the journey to endless eternity, I implore you to obtain the ONLY Passport with which you can gain access to Heaven.  “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away”. James 4:14. Make a decision to trust and start a relationship with Jesus Christ today, God loves you so much.
