                           His Name WILL BE Called….

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6

My wife and I read many wonderful Christmas cards and personal highlights from others, of family and friends. On those cards the above ‘promise’ seems to me to appear more than any other on all those cards. What Isaiah proclaimed for us, 700 years before our Lords birth, he not only announced the Savior’s coming, but announced so much more.

Our Ruler proclaims a political system that exceeds any other. Throughout all monarchy’s or dynasty’s past, or to come. His rule is not dictatorial or about social injustice. His government defines for us how to love our neighbor.

Our Ruler gives us counsel far exceeding all human reasoning that might come from the most prominent of academic institutions attempting to justify the sins of our soul.

Our Ruler has put forth an army of ‘might’ from more than twelve legions of angels as witnessed from Mathew 26:53. Far greater than any anti-ballistic missile system.

Our Ruler will never ‘fade away,’ but we have an Everlasting dynasty!  Our Abba Father was from before time began and will continue through never-ending eternity.

Our Ruler is our true Prince bringing everlasting calm and hope to our soul for all who will take hold.  By faith, to never let go. We’re set free from anxiety over political and military threats and unrest all around us.  

So… when we sing the ‘Hallelujah Chorus,’ we’re pronouncing our Ruler, who created us to keep on proclaiming Jesus all through the year. AMEN
