                 God Don’t Have Senior Moments

 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 2 Timothy 4:17 ESV

It is a sure promise our Lord’s omnipotence, or unlimited power always is. God doesn’t take naps as my wife and I may due in our senior years. Nor does he momentarily forget His own agenda, or become worn out from too much activity.

I’ve needed to take on more of the ‘homemakers’ housekeeping responsibilities these past years, to care for my wife’s health challenge with cancer. Her energy level has been substantially less, because of her anemic condition.

But God’s Spiritual power does increase when our human resources diminish! We both have witnessed many moments when His sufficiency prevailed, when our energy and strength become less.

God is immutable, that is to say, not susceptible to change. Especially because of His everlasting faithfulness to one’s immediate need.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Numbers 23:19

For my wife and I, these past years, and even through all the excitement and joy of our Lord’s Advent season, our biggest blessing has become our frequency to be still and listen in prayer. Don’t be bashful with our Lord. He wants so much for us to come to Him. To find those needed resources He has for us.
