Five Biblical Reasons Against Vaccine Mandates

If you are one of those people wanting a religious exemption from the vaccine mandate this article is for you. Since the mandate is now affecting people’s employment it is critical that one knows without any reservation - convinced in their conscience and well informed - if a decision is made to forfeit income to avoid the vaccine. 

     One, God created each person with freedom of choice, starting with Adam and Eve in Genesis. It is a general theme all through scripture. Mandates put people in a position, of course, to either violate their religious convictions or sacrifice their means of financial support. To give up one’s income requires faith in God to provide. Each individual must make a decision based upon their own financial situation. Either way, it does away with freedom of choice.

     Two, Christians’ body’s are temples of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, each believer is accountable to God for what they allow to have done to their body and for what they inject into their body. This means being responsible to know the ingredients in the vaccine, as well as all short-term and long-term consequences. This is very difficult because so much information on the opposite side of “Safe and Effective” is not being told to the public. There has not been a full disclosure based upon the Nuremburg Code. Plus, no one knows the long-term consequences. With this said, it is not ethical nor biblical to mandate a vaccine when people are not well informed. 

     Three, Romans 13 does not apply in the case of government mandates. Some Christians have used this chapter as a basis for passively doing whatever the government says. To the contrary, this chapter deals with  being subject to governing authorities in the context of maintaining law and order in society. There is nothing in this passage that would prohibit a person from being peacefully non-compliant toward unreasonable, and in some cases, tyrannical government restrictions.

     Four, Christians are not to be conformed to the world.  Romans 12:2 says to “not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The world is being told that the vaccine is “Safe and Effective“ and the mandates are based upon this, are they not? There is much deception. Information to the contrary is being censored. The general public is not being informed otherwise. Colossians 2:8 says, “see to it that no one takes you captive through...empty deception.” The mandates force people to conform to the deception of our culture. 
     Author Jonathan Brentner states, “The combination of fear and the great deception of our time has made vast numbers of people willing to submit to the government, which they regard as the protector of their health.”
     Replace fear and deception with the words of Psalm 91. It says that God will deliver you from the “deadly pestilence“(which is what COVID is), and “He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.”

     Five, mandates force Christians to be a part of what is leading to the fulfillment of Revelation 13. That is the chapter dealing with the one world dictator forcing people to get the “mark of the beast” in order to buy or sell. What we are seeing now with the mandates is not the mark of the Beast, but it is a first step in a sequence leading to it! People are already conditioned and programmed for it. It will not come to full fruition until the Tribulation Period. 

     Writer Britt Gillette in an article, Enabling the Mark of the Beast, emphasizes “vaccine mandates and vaccine passports...create the very foundation for the mark of the beast system...creating a world ripe for the rise of the anti-Christ.” She further adds, “Every Christian should oppose vaccine mandates...because supporting them is the same as supporting the mark of the Beast system.” 

     Jonathan Brentner asks the question, “Why participate...in something that has the intent of leading humanity to the place of slavery and inescapable perdition that the coming lawless one will impose on humanity?”

     It is a hard pill to swallow to realize that the world is now in a sequence of steps culminating in the actual fulfillment of not being able to buy or sell unless there is a mark on the right hand or forehead in allegiance to the anti-Christ. The way things are progressing so rapidly it could get to that point sooner than we might think. But look up, our redemption is near!
