                                 Finding the Cure

From the moment the news media made known the pandemic of the Corona virus, medical researchers and scientists have been working diligently to find a cure.

But many, so fearful of this dreaded disease, fail to recognize what I call the ‘germ of sin?’  For individuals to recognize we all carry this dreaded disease, were it not for our Lord to reconcile us.  

Should a loved one be stricken with a life threatening health matter as cancer, we’d never hesitate to listen to the doctor. Yet, many are fearful to find the cure for this dreaded ‘germ of sin.’

Our election is just days away. I’ve been asking our Lord to pour His Spirit upon our land. Especially for us who wear His name, seeking for His preeminence to be the focus of our hope.

 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Romans 8:24-25 RSV

For the lost, they put their hope to rest upon who might be our next president. This election, along with the pandemic has put a fear of despair into the heart of people. Something this land has never experienced the likes of before, in our nation’s young history. But to take hold our Lord’s promise!

Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Father, give this land boldness and Spiritual strength against this malady called the ‘germ of sin.’
