                             Purpose For Prayer

Is it not God’s purpose to teach us to lean on Him, as more the issue of our prayer? Let me explain. Our faith we have is given us from God. Such that we’re not to think too highly of ourselves, but recognize the measure of faith God gives us. Romans 12:3

Moments every day alone in prayer, I recognize the greater value of being still… to listen, more than call out to God with anxiousness in my heart. I know God is at work ‘in me,’ His purpose, not mine!

‘For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 NKJV

I know my life is worthy through Jesus, my living hope. I in my flesh have no significance. It’s important to thank Him for the abundance of truth and love revealed to us, from His presence in us.  
I’m sure we each can share a favorite passage of promise from His word, and why it is of special value to us. A promise fulfilled.

 Purposing our prayer moments are to recognize our Lord’s preeminence.  This brings the calm assurance we seek from prayer.  

Our hope through prayer is for the present, not the past. There are times we tend to dwell on… ‘if only.’  Our Lord encourages us not to hang on to what was.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. Philippians 3:13 NIV

Father, through our prayers enable us to recognize your purpose and blessing, as we seek for things above. AMEN.
