Seeing Again Loved Ones Who Have Passed Away

A few years ago I was with an uncle who knew he had only a short time left on this earth. He made a profound statement that I can still hear in my mind today. He said with as much surety as I am writing this, “I have people waiting for me.” 

     Prior to his passing from this life Billy Graham said,”Some day you will hear or read that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will have just changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”

     Recently my mom passed away. I was unable to attend her funeral. My sister said, “You will see her again.”

     For Christians, funerals or memorial services are actually a celebration of one’s life, not only for the one lived on earth but the one entered into on the spiritual side. If you have family members or loved ones who have passed away and were Christians, and you also are a Christian, remember, you will see them again. If you have had a baby or young child pass away, you will see them again. 

     Not only will you see them again, but in a restored and perfect body. In heaven there is no more “mourning, or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4).

     I John 5:11-13 says, “...God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you that you may know that you have eternal life.”

     Accept Jesus today as your Savior. He died for your sins and rose from the dead. He offers forgiveness, hope, peace, and life eternal in a restored body in His presence for all eternity.
