Comfort One Another With These Words

World conditions are going to continue to escalate. Things are leading up to a time of unprecedented evil and distress such has never before in history. However, the Bible says there can be comfort. How can this be?

In I Thessalonians 4:18 of the New Testament it says to ”Comfort one another with these words.” What words? This refers back to previous words that speak of being “caught up together,” both people living and those previously deceased, “to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall forever be with the Lord.”

Skipping to II Thessalonians 2:1 we see the words, “gathering together to Him (the Lord).

Both of these verses are followed by chapters that talk about the Second Coming of Christ and the events of the seven-year Tribulation Period, soon to befall the entire world. This is when the anti-Christ will rule with the satanic 666 economic system, there will be horrendous weather, and one-third of the earth’s population will die through various means! You can read about in Revelation 6-16.

You will not want to be on Planet Earth during this time. Well, guess what. You don’t have to be. I believe having, “Comfort one another with these words,” in the context preceding a discussion of the Tribulation Period presents a compelling case for a pre-Trib event of being caught up and gathered together in God’s presence, which is commonly called the rapture.

This will be God‘s provision for sparing people from the wrath to come. There is one condition, however. Not everyone will be leaving this planet. Some will be left behind. And quite frankly, there is not one person who deserves to be raptured. I know I certainly don’t! It will be only by the grace of God that I will be taken out of the world before all hell breaks loose. It is not based upon how good I have been or how religious I have been. It is because I recognize myself as a sinner in need of His grace and have put my faith and trust in Him.

You can experience this grace also by calling upon the name of Jesus, who died for your sins and rose from the dead. He is the one and only Savior! When you do this you will be saved by grace, not only from the unimaginable horrible world conditions but you will experience peace, hope, and life eternal with God forever.

That is why it is possible to say as bad as things will become, “Comfort one another with these words.”
