                                           Who’s Your Prayer Partner?

“And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:27 RSV

I spend more time than ever in prayer. More so subsequent to my retirement, because my desire is to continue ‘serving’ as my product. Serving becomes more than just passing the days looking after others in need, but learning to dedicate each day as to what, where, and how, I might be used in serving. Such that, prayer becomes an integral part of my own ministry outreach.

We know and recognize building relationships with those we serve with, along with those we might encounter to give service to, becomes God’s mandate to success. My question; ‘Who’s Your Prayer Partner’ is very important.

I’ve been part of a 6:00AM prayer fellowship at our church for probably close to 30 years. Building intimacy with these individuals. Our Last Sunday every month we also have what we call; ‘An all church Prayer Gathering,’ Again, a moment we gather, becoming an integral part of sharing and caring with one another. Praising our Lord, along with bringing petitions of need.

But always be mindful to consider, ‘He who searches the hearts of men….’ God’s Holy Spirit intercedes for all the saints according to the will of God. Yes, He’s my ‘Prayer Partner,’ interceding on my behalf recognizing the motive of my heart. The power of His presence always prevails!

Father, help us be mindful daily, as we come before your throne in prayer,
‘Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.’1 John 4:4
