The Righteousness of God

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)

i was totally worn out. The previous day began at 4:30 a.m. and did not end until after 11:30 p.m. It had been a day that, except for about two hours, was non-stop activity. That was Saturday.

Then on Sunday, as hard as i tried, the group of fifth and sixth grade students, which were supposed to be learning something godly, seemed to prefer other activities. Anything that might disrupt and virtually waste thirty minutes of time was deployed, instead of learning about the persecution of the church worldwide.

As i rushed into the morning worship service, i felt totally less-than-righteous.

It was during a verse of the old hymn, And Can It Be, that the Lord spoke to me and said, “I am sinless!” Whoa – what?!

“No matter how you feel, or what you think has gone wrong, just say to yourself, ‘I am sinless.’”

Not that i am sinless as our Savior, since i was born with sin, but in Him – I AM SINLESS!! In Him – YOU ARE SINLESS!!

To confirm His words to me, as we sat down a few minutes later and began to take communion, the above verse from Second Corinthians came across the screen

It’s true! In Him, i am sinless. It does not matter if my emotions are high or i am feeling wounded, as long as i dwell in Him – I AM SINLESS!!

“Oh the wonder of it all, the wonder of it all, just to think that God loves me.”

Be Blessed With the Thought of His Love – in Him –YOU ARE SINLESS!!
