Joseph was wrongfully imprisoned, in what all considered a very dreadful place.
But, if you are where the Lord appointed for you to be, you will find that you are actually very safe.

The Lord puts us in his prison if needs be, so while we’re in this place we should know it is time to learn.
No need to spend all your time in bonds looking only for release and all his teachings spurn.

The chief butler might have forgotten about Joseph, while he enjoyed his life again handing Pharoah his cup.
But at the appointed time Joseph’s name is brought to remembrance, and from the prison he is lifted up.

Pharoah gets right to the point about his troubling dreams, that none of his magicians could help him see.
Joseph shows the humility of prison by giving God all the glory as he tells Pharoah, that it is not in me!

Joseph shows his next signs of being taught as he listened to everything that Pharoah had to say before he spake.
He then shows the signs of wisdom and discretion as he suggested to Pharoah the path that he should take.

In due season Joseph reaped all the good blessings God had for him, because he behaved during his time in the deep.
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me O Lord. Let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

Child of God if you find yourself in bonds, know that there are things that can only be learned while in this place.
And if bound, know that one day you must be set free, though many may forget you yet not forgotten by the God of all Grace.

If you were never placed in God’s prison you would never know the joy of one day being called, and then set free.
And having learned some valuable truths in God’s appointed place, in his timing, and when you’re ready, being reprieved.

I need the Lord to help me, for I so desperately need to make the best use of my time while I’m in this place.
For I would not be here except it be for my good, and right now this is the only place that my family is safe.

This I know that God is for me, regardless the circumstances he has designed every one of them all just for me.
And he works all these trials to help conform me to the image of his Dear Son, allowing only that which will promote his glory.
