Can grievous, heavy load after load be placed in short succession on a person, and that person still stand?
Can crushing, burdensome weights come down on one’s shoulders and person keep moving toward Heaven’s land?

Can you be full of joy, while at the same time burdened with wearisome trials?
Can a person have multiplied sorrow upon sorrows, yet inwardly still possess a smile?

Can a person be fired continually upon by Satan’s fiery darts,
and at the days end still press on with the same Holy vigor as he had at the start?

Can a person stand up under a flood of temptations that come continually as if they will never end?
Then finally when deliverance does come, they can show that they are clean from all sin?

Will you be able to stand when persecution comes as a hurricane beating against a home that is built on sand?
And continues to beat relentlessly until all members of your body quake with fear from your feet, head, and hands?

Are you able to love and truly serve him, a God whom you have never seen?
Yet believing can you rejoice with Joy unspeakable and full of glory with other of God’s redeemed?

Are you equipped to fight the Giant of Pride that will come at you day after day for life, with no moments rest?
This world is not the Christians home, this life is a time trial so are you prepared to take this test?

The beast of Self-Love is a merciless foe that will stop at nothing to take your life and ruin you.
And if you are not willing to take heaven by violence, then you might not be of the Lord’s chosen few.

Yeah, all these things, if he brought me out of an horrible pit, if he brought me up out of the miry clay?
If I’ll seek his face each morning, let him establish my path, then I can be assured of a brighter day.

The Lord says that these trials of your faith are much more precious than gold, or any other earthly treasure.
Our faith shows our confidence in God that we will be found unto praise, honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ who’s love is without measure.

For the first time in my Christian life (I speak this to my shame), I am glad this world is not my final place.
The cup that the Lord appointed for me is working for my good things that can only be obtained by God’s Amazing Grace.
