It was in the still of the early morning hours my mind was filled with incomprehensible praise. I had awakened with a Word of testimony in my heart. “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8) As I pondered upon this magnificent truth I found myself in high praise. Beloved, there is a difference between praise and high praise. Praise is my spirit reaching out to God. High Praise is His Spirit embracing me!

Like a whirlwind of rushing water over my mind, my spirit was declaring Him for Who He is. I wept with great joy as He brought to my mind the reality of His personage.

He is the Creator. He is still the wheel within a wheel. He is the fire in the bush. He is the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. He still is the Lamb of Propitiation. He is the Great Protector, and He still is The Great Physician with healing in His wings! He is the fourth Man in the fire, The Great Psalmist, The Great Shepherd, our Rock, our Shelter and our Deliverer. He is our Joy in the Morning, because He is still our Song in the night. He is the Great High Priest. He is still the only One born of a virgin, and the Sinless, Blameless sacrifice. He is the One who died on a cross, Whom was buried and rose again and now sits at the right hand of the Father. He is also the Father who sits on His throne! He is a Father to the fatherless, our Helmet of salvation, our Breastplate of righteousness, our Shield of Faith. He is the Sword of the Spirit and He still is our Prince of Peace! He is the Word that was with God - And He still is the Word of God! He is the Light of the World. He is the Promise Giver and the Promise Keeper – for He is not a man that He should lie! He is our Ransom and our Husbandmen. He is the well that springs up within our soul! He is still our Reigning Redeemer and Prodigal Receiver. He is the Great Intercessor and the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother! He is still the Groomsmen in search of His spotless Bride! He remains the Praise in the mouth of babes. He is still the Lily of the Valley, the Rose of Sharon and the Bright and Morning Star! He is the Great I AM, Our Sovereign Victorious, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is The Mighty Comforter, our Wonderful Counselor and He still is our Mighty God! He is the Living Water and the Bread of Life. He is our Hope of Glory, and The Voice of many waters. He is the Father who sings and dances over His children. He is The Judge seated on the Great White Throne! He is The Promised One, The Root of Jesse, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords! He is still the Coming Messiah for He is Jesus the Christ – The Son of the Living God!

and like the sound of loud thunder….”

Your Voice, O Lord

Voice of many waters
Wash my soul
So I can comprehend

Purify this heart
With Your Living Water
Cleanse me Lord
And keep me from sin

Your voice O Lord,
Is as many waters
Your resounding words
Flood my soul

With thunder O Lord,
The truth You utter
Pierce my heart,
And make me whole.
