Living –in His light

Often it’s hard to understand many things and comprehend the same with this finite mind (unless we are a scientist and have started using the God given brain extensively).

The creation of this beautiful world is something that often wonders us and the fact that God created this entire universe just by the Word of His mouth makes us fall down in worship before the Master Creator. Such great! Awesome! And wondrous is the Lord our God.

When Jesus was heading towards the house of Lazarus to raise him up from the dead, the disciples warned Him saying….

“The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?””

John 11:8 NKJV

“Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

John 11:9-10 NKJV

The reply of Jesus to the disciples concern was apt, however did we understand it in one go? Were we able to comprehend the idea walking in the day and night and the light that is available in the day, yet that which is missing in the night?

In this world, we can only do our tasks and enjoy while it is day (under the shadow of the Sun-the Son-the Lord Jesus Christ), we will never stumble when we chose to walk in His guidance and precepts.

However if we chose the night (to be void of God), we are opting to walk in the darkness, and by who we are (having no light within), we will stumble and fall.

What is the design of men and women? How can we really be happy and rejoice?

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:37 NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13 NKJV

We are made to flourish in and through Christ alone; we cannot live a true and blessed life without God.

Circumstances may discourage us to work in the day, however till day prevails (God with us), let’s use our gifts, resources and all we have for God’s glory alone. There may be more such Lazarus’s lying in their graves, God’s wants to reach them (through us) while it is still day-until His grace prevails
